Camilla Noble grew up in Malawi where her passion for physiotherapy was born. She moved to Cape Town to study personal training and graduated with a certificate in fitness in 2013. She then went on to study physiotherapy at UCT graduating in 2017. Camilla completed her community service year in an outpatient rehabilitation centre in Germiston, Johannesburg where she treated a variety of orthopaedic as well as chronic pain conditions. She then moved back to Cape Town in 2019 to work in an orthopaedic and sports specific practice where she has gained experience in acute sports injuries, spinal conditions, chronic pain management, as well as vast experience in treating ankle injuries in acute, chronic, and post-operative cases.

Camilla is incredibly passionate about the management and treatment of patients with chronic pain presentations. Her passion for pain was sparked in undergrad through the lectures of Professor Romy Parker. Since graduating, Camilla describes herself as a “pain nerd” and in her spare time she stays current on literature, reads popular psychology and pain neuroscience books. This passion resulted in her going on to study her post graduate diploma in interdisciplinary pain management at UCT in 2021.

Camilla believes in an evidence based and person-centred approach to treatment where the biopsychosocial model of pain management is applied. Her psychologically informed treatment gives her the ability to treat patients holistically. She believes in using active rehabilitation and excellent communication to help patients achieve their goals.

Camilla is a coffee enthusiast, enjoys running, hiking and swimming and nerding out on all things physiotherapy.
